Microblading vs Ombre Brows

Microblading is done using a very fine blade of needles is used to create thin, hair-like marks on the skin, which last up to 24 months. Ombre brows use the same techniques, but is more suitable for those with oilier skin so that it can last longer.

How long do they last?

Both types of Microblading are a way of semi-permanent make-up, a manual process is inserting pigment into the upper layers of skin were to a desired fullness and shape of the eyebrows. The effects last up to 24 months after which the pigment fades leaving the skin and your natural brows exactly as they were. We recommend a yearly touch-up to keep your brows looking their very best.

Is it painful?

Avoid getting your brows waxed, threaded or tinted at least 7 days before your appointment. Avoid any blood-thinning medication for a minimum of 72 hours prior to your appointment. This includes: Vitamin E, Aspirin, Niacin, fish oil supplements, and Ibuprofen. Avoid caffeine or alcohol within 24 hours of your appointment. You must wait at least one year after you have been on Accutane for microblading. It is highly recommended that you avoid tanning beds and excessive sun exposure (sun burn) 30 days prior to your procedure.

What happens after the microblading has faded away?

Microblading is semi-permanent and fades over time. Your skin continually sloughs away dead skin cells causing the micro bladed hairstrokes to move closer to the surface of your skin where they will eventually fade away. Therefore, touch-up is recommended yearly to keep your microblade brows their best.

Will microblading ruin my natural brow hairs?

Microblading does not ruin your natural hairs or cause them to stop growing or fall out. Your natural brow hairs and skin will remain as before the microblading process (with the exception of natural aging factors).
